First of all I would like to say that personally I think the most important thing that everyone should keep in mind when it comes to brows is to EMBRACE your natural eyebrows! Everyone is different and we all have different shaped faces and eyebrows. Just because you see a girl on Instagram with perfect brows doesn't mean you will be able to recreate her look even with the exact same products. A lot of the time those girls have little to no brows without makeup on. Be YOU, be happy with and the eyebrows you have.
Secondly we need to talk hair removal. It can be quite a painful experience but we all need to keep our brows in tip top shape. I used to wax my eyebrows but now I just use tweezers to remove any unwanted hairs. Waxing is quick and efficient however can get quite pricey when you are constantly going into the salon to get them done. Waxing is also quite harsh on your delicate eye area. Plucking takes some time however with a good pair of tweezers, light and magnifying mirror, it's a breeze.
I am currently using the best tweezers I have ever used.
They are from the queen of eyebrows her self, Anastasia Beverly Hills. They are the Precision Tweezers, and they are AMAZING! They are a little pricey however I consider this purchase a clever long term investment.
Anastasia Beverly Hills has international shipping and if you click the image to the right you can check out these amazing tweezers for yourself.
Threading is another hair removal method that is becoming increasingly popular. This method is less harsh on the eye area, however I have never done it so I can't necessarily recommend it.
Finally lets get into the products. There are many different products that you can use on your brows, each will create a slightly different look. Here is my go on explaining each one.
1. Eyebrow pencils/crayons
Eyebrow pencils are probably the most widely used and available product for your eyebrows. This is currently my preferred method and below you can watch how I fill in my eyebrows with pencils. Pencils are great because you can really control them to create different looks. Pencils are very versatile, you can create anything from a natural brow to a bold brow. I have three pencils that I alternate between.
Gorgeous Cosmetics
Nouveaux Brow Pencil
This is a wax pencil that doesn't have any added colour. It catches on the hairs and adds thickness and darkens up your brows. I have used this on both dark and light brows. I use this pencil for more everyday makeup, when I'm wanting a natural finish.

Anastsia Beverly Hills
Brow Wiz
This is my go to pencil. It is very easy to use and doesn't dispense to much product making it easier for you to control. I use this pencil with everyday makeup if I want a little more definition in my brows and also with a full face of makeup. There are nine shades to choose from so you should be able to find the perfect shade.
price: $21 USD
MAC Cosmetics
Eye Brow
This was my very first brow pencil and I still use it today. The particular shade I have is a little dark for my eyebrows right now so I use it on the tail of my brow for a more dramatic look. This pencil is very comparable to the Brow Wiz however if I'm being picky I would say that this product transfers more easily to your brows so if you are heavy handed you can end up in bit of a pickle. You have to have more control with this product. In saying that it is very easy to clean up if you make a mistake.

2. Powder/Eyeshadow
Now, although some brands have specific brow powders you can just use regular eyeshadow. This will also save you a couple bucks because not only will you have a brow powder but also a neutral eyeshadow shade. Powder is great because you can add colour and boldness (I have no idea if boldness is actually a word but it works) quickly and easily. The only negative with using powder is that it doesn't add to much definition and may come across unnatural looking if overdone.
In the past I have used MAC eyeshadows because the MAC sales assistants know what colours will work with your brows. However if you have a good idea of your brow colour you can use any matte eyeshadow or a specific brow powder.
You will also need a good brush to apply the powder and I would recommend:
Real Techniques
Brow Brush
Unfortunately the brush doesn't come individually. Fortunately this whole set is filled with great quality products. This brow brush is thick and dense which makes it easy to apply powder to the brows.
price: $20 AUD
3. Wax/Gel
This method will give you the most defined brows and has become very popular recently after the release of Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade. MAC also has a similar product. I however cannot comment on this method because I have never tried it. I would like to try it some day but for now I'm happy with my brow routine. You can also use wax to set powder on the brows. Also you can use brow gels, either tinted or clear to set your brows after any of the above methods. Confused yet?
There are many ways to fill in your brows and trial and error is probably the way you will find your favourite technique. Hopefully this info helps you out a little bit. For a demo on how to fill in your brows make sure you watch my tutorial.
